Tim Balch started Timco Transport in 2001, he purchased 5 trucks and primarily handled local, city and short haul truckloads for a Waxahachie based corregated box manufacturing company. Since Timco’s business was very much dependent on a single customer, Tim adopted the motto “A Partner You Can Count On.” 15 years later, this remains Timco’s motto.

Over the course of the next 4 years, Tim continued to grow Timco by adding additional customers, drivers, tractors and trailers, and taking on owner-operators, expanding to 45 power units (some company, some owner/operator) by 2010. In 2010, after many long discussions, Tim partnered with Mike Sisneros, they purchased 40 older model Volvo tractors, doubling Timco in size overnight. Tim and Mike had a vision of growth and expanding their services, and the name was changed to Timco Logistics in 2011. Timco now operates 200 company owned, new model tractors and has 600 53’ dry van trailers.  Our services include Brokerage and 3PL Services in Desoto, TX, Houston, TX and Denton, TX.  A full terminal with regional and intra-AL service located in Montgomery, AL and over 100,000 square feet of warehouse space in Waxahachie, TX

Tim and Mike shared the vision that they would be successful if they could create a competitive advantage by being honest and doing exactly what they said they would. Timco’s approach to successful business is not to overpromise, but to make good on the promises we do make. Both Tim and Mike believe in a hands-on, open door policy in all aspects of business, allowing both drivers and customers personal access.

Together, Tim and Mike bring over 50 years of experience in the trucking industry to Timco. Timco has grown into a regional and nationally recognized carrier in the transportation industry. Their success continues to drive Timco to raise the bar on service and reliability.
